Injera Restaurant in Alameda

This place is amazing and the staff Yordanos is super friendly. First time we tried the Ethiopian food (meat samplier) and the food just melt in our mouth. The meat are cooked slowly (simmer) and the taste is really fabulous. Highly recommended!!!

Not very busy for some reason... but this place has AMAZING food! And... Ethiopian beer! Loooove it! Don't be afraid to try it! Their food is AMAZING and tasty! Try the sampler platters to start! 😊

Great spot for authentic fare in a quiet setting. Veggie sampler and beef tibs are delicious. The staff is friendly.

Stopped by for lunch and got a Veggie Combination. Server was hospitable, and my food came fast. I will come back again to sit down. The restarant looks nice...and my food was good. I want to try more.

The perfect place to share an interactive meal with close friends or family. Plus, since everyone will have to use both hands no one will be on their phone ;-) We ordered two samplers and we're greeted with an abundance of spice and flavor. The sponge bread makes it easy to find and consume any tasty bit of food. And you must pair your meal with some honey wine...it wouldn't be proper without! A real treasure in the heart of Alameda!

My first ever experience with Ethiopian food. I have never been fan of food with a mushy texture. However after looking at some pics of their food, my friend and I decided to give it a try. After ordering some popular items from their menu our food arrived. Every item was fresh and flavorful, and what made it even more interesting is that I had to use my hands to eat which I rarely do. We spent about $50 and we got more food than we can ever finish in one meal. Our to go box was enough for two more meals for my friend. All in all, it was a great first time experience, and I will definitely come back again. I only wish they would have told us that we have ordered way too much food for 2.

डिलिशस delicious authentic Ethiopian food. Casual environment, really lovely staff. Food is made to order so don’t rush, patience brings a perfect dish. Great for groups who enjoy sharing, or couples. Always satisfied, and often with some left over to bring home.

I went here for the first time and the ambiance was amazing. Very spacious and awesome owners. I usually go to Berkeley but I live in Alameda and I never knew they had Ethiopian food in the area. I will definitely be back and when I visit Cali. Hands down best vegan food!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I am so glad that my husband put aside his picky eating habits for the evening so I could get my Ethiopian fix. The food is delicious and I am so Happy that this place is down the street from my house. I will definitely be back.
